Analysten erwarten schwache OMV-Zahlen

Austrian oil and gas group OMV said 13 May 2014 that its net profit dropped 62 per cent to 301 million euros (414 million dollars) in the first quarter, owing to rising production costs. Unrest in Libya has stopped OMV's oil production in the country since March, while more oil was pumped in Norway, OMV said. This shift pushed up overall production costs and hurt operating profits, which decreased 46 per cent year-on-year, to 675 million euros. Revenues fell 9 per cent to 9.83 billion euros in the quarter that was marked by lower oil prices.
