Nach der verheerenden Sturzflut im Himalaya hat Nepal die Suche nach hunderten vermissten Arbeitern verstärkt, von denen viele noch in den Tunnelsystemen verwüsteter Wasserkraftanlagen vermutet werden. Die Flutwelle habe zwölf im Betrieb oder im Bau befindliche Wasserkraftprojekte getroffen, sagte ein Vertreter des Verbands unabhängiger Stromerzeuger Nepals der Deutschen Presse-Agentur. Es seien 897 Beschäftigte nicht erreichbar. Die Zahl könnte jedoch deutlich höher liegen.
