US-Präsident Donald Trump will den von ihm in Washington geplanten Triumphbogen in einen Militärkomplex umwandeln. Er habe einer Bitte der Streitkräfte zugestimmt, das Bauwerk nahe dem Nationalfriedhof Arlington für die Unterbringung und den Einsatz von Drohnen sowie Scharfschützenmunition zu nutzen, sagte Trump am Sonntag. Als Grund nannte der Präsident Sicherheitserwägungen, ohne konkrete Bedrohungen zu erwähnen.
