Israels Ministerpräsident Benjamin Netanyahu und Verteidigungsminister Israel Katz bestätigten die Aktion und teilten auf der Plattform X mit, damit sei die Festigung der Sicherheitszone im Südlibanon abgeschlossen. Von libanesischer Seite gab es für die Zerstörung zunächst keine Bestätigung.
