9/11-Gedenken in New York: Petition gegen Mamdani

Vor den New Yorker Gedenkfeiern für die Toten der Terroranschläge vom 11. September vor 25 Jahren regt sich Widerstand gegen die Teilnahme des muslimischen Bürgermeisters Zohran Mamdani. Mehr als 110.000 Menschen unterschrieben bis Donnerstag eine Online-Petition auf dem Portal change.org. Darin werden die Organisatoren aufgerufen, Mamdani auszuladen. Hinter der Petition steht Giovanni Galante, dessen Ehefrau Grace Catherine 2001 beim Einsturz des World Trade Centers starb.
