Im Norden von Peru haben Archäologen eine nahezu intakte fast 600 Jahre alte Grabstätte der vorkolumbischen Chimú-Kultur entdeckt. Bei dem Fund auf der zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe zählenden Ruinenstätte Chan Chan handelt es sich um eine Bestattungsanlage, in der sich die Überreste von mindestens 38 Personen hohen gesellschaftlichen Ranges mit ihren Grabbeigaben befanden, wie das peruanische Kulturministerium mitteilte.
