Bei einem fast siebenstündigen Außeneinsatz an der Internationalen Raumstation haben zwei Astronautinnen unter anderem nach Mikroorganismen am Äußeren der ISS gesucht. Die US-Astronautin Jessica Meir und ihre französische Kollegin Sophie Adenot von der europäischen Raumfahrtagentur ESA nahmen dafür laut NASA Abstriche von der Stationsaußenseite. Daneben installierten die beiden einen neuen Reflektor, der Raumschiffen bei der Navigation beim Anflug und Andocken helfen soll.
