Epstein-Komplizin Ghislaine Maxwell bleibt in Haft
Die Komplizin des verstorbenen US-Sexualstraftäters Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, bleibt in Haft. Der New Yorker Bundesrichter Paul Engelmayer wies einen Antrag der 64-Jährigen ab, ihre Verurteilung zu 20 Jahren Gefängnis aufzuheben. Sie war wegen Menschenhandels zum Zweck der sexuellen Ausbeutung schuldig gesprochen worden, weil sie Minderjährige an Epstein vermittelt hatte. Engelmayer erklärte, Maxwells Behauptungen seien "unbegründet und größtenteils belanglos".
